Isanti County Public Health Services was formed to enhance, preserve and protect the health of Isanti County residents.  Agency services are provided to all residents regardless of color, sex, age, race, religion or income.  The agency utilizes principles of epidemiology, nursing, social and biological sciences, and psychology to plan programs of maximum efficiency and effectiveness.  Interventions may be aimed at hereditary factors, medical care services, lifestyles or the environment.  Professional and paraprofessional staff are used to strengthen the self care of individuals, families and the community in the following areas:  disease prevention and control, emergency preparedness, environmental health, family health/nutrition, health promotion and long term/chronic health care.
